Plans and usage

Free, Pro and Max — which models each plan includes, how usage limits work, and how to check, upgrade and renew from the app or the terminal.

Plans

Every plan includes LoopCode's hosted models and works in the desktop app, the CLI and VS Code with one account. There are no API keys.

PlanModelsUsage
FreeAuto, Opus 5, DeepSeek V4.1 FlashExpanded early-access allowance
ProOpus 5, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and Grok 4.7Higher limits for daily work
MaxEverything in ProThe highest usage limits

Current prices are on the pricing page. Paid plans are prepaid for 30 days at a time and do not renew on their own; you renew when you choose.

Free during early access

Early users get more free usage to explore real projects. We refresh the Free model selection regularly so more developers can try different models in LoopCode. The models in the table above are the current documented selection, not a permanent lineup; check the model picker for the latest availability.

Usage limits still apply. Your account shows how much of your allowance you have used and when it resets.

How usage is measured

Free has a 7-day usage window. Pro and Max have both a 5-hour window and a 7-day window. A window opens with the first request after the previous one expires, and resets when it ends. This is not a fixed calendar-day or calendar-week reset.

Your account shows the usage percentage and reset time for each window that applies to your plan. Numeric plan budgets are not currently published. These allowances are not fixed numbers of messages or raw tokens; the model and the amount of context change how much work fits.

Every model draws on the same limits, in proportion to what it costs to run: quick models stretch them, heavy models spend them faster. At 80% of a window you get a heads-up. When an applicable window is used up, new model requests pause until it resets. Reaching a limit does not automatically purchase more usage or charge your payment method. Check the reset time, wait for the window to reset, or choose a plan with more capacity. You can continue the conversation afterwards.

The desktop app, the CLI, VS Code and any access tokens you create all draw on the same windows and show the same numbers.

Check your usage

bash
loopcode usage
you@example.com Pro plan, ends 21 Nov

  5-hour ████████░░░░░░░░░░░░ 41% resets in 2 h 10 min
  weekly ███░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ 17% resets Mon 09:00

In a conversation, /usage shows the same. In the desktop app, the meter under the composer opens a usage popover, and Settings → Usage has the details.

Upgrade or renew

bash
loopcode upgrade pro # or: loopcode upgrade max

Checkout opens in your browser. The terminal waits and switches over as soon as the payment clears — the app and the terminal both have the new plan at once. In a conversation, /upgrade does the same; in the desktop app, use Settings → Plan & billing.

When a paid plan is close to its end, loopcode usage and the app remind you, with the command to renew.

Signing in and out

bash
loopcode login # approve the code in your browser
loopcode logout # sign out on this machine

loopcode login prints a short code and opens the approval page. Check that the code in the browser matches before you approve. Signing out never touches your conversations.
