Word, PowerPoint and Excel
LoopCode reads Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF files, builds new documents, decks and spreadsheets, checks them for layout problems, and lets you comment on pages in the desktop app.
Read documents
Attach or mention a .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, OpenDocument or PDF file, and LoopCode reads its text — a spec in Word, numbers in a spreadsheet, a deck to turn into a page:
@specs/checkout-v2.docx Implement the validation rules in section 3.Build documents
Ask for a document, a deck or a spreadsheet in plain words:
Make a 6-slide deck from docs/q3-results.md for the board: one idea per slide,
the revenue chart from data/revenue.csv, and speaker notes.Turn the test results in reports/ into an Excel workbook: one sheet per suite,
with totals and conditional formatting for failures.LoopCode writes a small builder script and runs it — Word through docx, PowerPoint through pptxgenjs, Excel through exceljs, with nothing to install — and saves the file in your project.
Checked before you see it
Generated files tend to have the same mistakes, and LoopCode checks for them in every file it writes: text that will not fit its box, shapes off the slide, tables wider than the page, headings that skip a level, formulas pointing at sheets that do not exist, numbers stored as text, stretched or missing pictures, and placeholder text left behind. It then looks at the pages as images to catch what structure cannot show, and fixes what it finds before it reports.
Styles and templates
New files take a style:
| Style | Look |
|---|---|
| Sage | Calm green with warm gold on white; Georgia headings over Arial |
| Classic | Navy and gold, serif throughout — reports, proposals, board papers |
| Bold | Dark slides, amber highlights and heavy headings — pitches and keynotes |
| Minimal | Black on white with one blue accent and plenty of space |
| Warm | Terracotta on cream with Georgia headings — friendly and easy to read |
Ask for one by name, or give LoopCode one of your own .docx, .pptx or .xlsx files to use as a template so new files match your brand.
Review in the desktop app
The Artifacts tab draws each document LoopCode made, page by page, with what its checks found. Click a page to comment on it, or drag to mark an area: the comment goes to the agent with a picture of that page, so you can say "make this chart bigger" and point at it. Styles lists the looks available and adds your own files as templates.
