Desktop: macOS, Windows, and Linux
Download the matching installer, open it, and sign in. Choose a project folder and begin with an explanation request before a change. LoopCode is in early access: Apple notarisation and Windows signing are still in progress. Read the first-launch instructions shown before downloading; inspect the publisher and source rather than ignoring an unfamiliar warning.
Linux compatibility depends on the distribution and required system libraries; an AppImage is not a guarantee of support for every distribution.
- macOS: version 13 Ventura or newer; choose Apple silicon for M-series Macs or Intel for x64 Macs.
- Windows: Windows 10 or newer, 64-bit.
- Linux: x64 AppImage, or the .deb package for compatible Debian/Ubuntu environments.
CLI on macOS and Linux
Install Node.js 22.18 or newer first. The published installer downloads the CLI release, verifies its accompanying checksum, and installs a user-level launcher. Review a downloaded installer before running it if your environment requires that policy.
node --version
curl -fsSL https://loopcode.heksync.in/cli.sh | sh
loopcode login
cd /path/to/your-project
loopcodeCLI on Windows
Use Windows 10 version 1803 or newer and PowerShell, with Node.js 22.18 or newer installed. The installer uses the user profile and adds the launcher to your user PATH. If a fresh shell cannot find loopcode, reopen the terminal after installation and check the installer's PATH instructions.
node --version

cd C:\path\to\your-project

code --install-extension heksync.loopcodeSign-in, updates, and troubleshooting
loopcode login opens a browser approval flow. Confirm the code shown by the CLI before approving. loopcode usage reports plan usage; loopcode update requests an update. The CLI also checks for updates in the background, while desktop installers and the Marketplace have their own distribution paths.
If sign-in or installation fails, collect the interface, operating system, version, and sanitized error. Do not send access tokens, provider keys, or project secrets. Contact team@heksync.in or inspect the current release notes linked on the download page.
